成语典故课程介绍： Chinese Idiom Story

教材选用经典成语故事，配合生动有趣的PPT动画讲解给学生，学生理解后发挥自己的想象力对作品进行再次创作，以对话或者表演的形式表现出来。动静结合，课堂生动活泼。例如：“杯弓蛇影”这个成语故事，老师讲解故事大意，然后让学生在卡片上画出一把弓箭，老师准备一杯水，观察水中像蛇形的弓箭倒影，通过视觉和触觉加深对成语的理解和记忆，让学生复述故事，分成小组表演。

Materials include a selection of classic idiom stories accompanied with interesting animation. Students will use their own imagination to recreate their own work piece by putting up a performance.

 

茶道课程介绍：Tea Appreciation

中国茶文化历史悠久，茶道则享誉全世界。茶道课程是通过识茶、冲泡、品茶、制作茶包、茶点等环节，让学生对茶文化有个初步的认识。课程包括：识别配对游戏，茶谜语，冲泡，用鲜花制作花茶香包、制作绿茶饼、品尝茶叶蛋。课程互动性强，让学生边说边做，妙趣横生！

Chinese tea culture has a long history; tea appreciation is well-known throughout the world. Tea appreciation is cultivated through introduction to the different types of tea, process of brewing the tea, tea tasting, making of tea bags and snacks made from tea etc. Students will gain a preliminary understanding of tea appreciation.Course includes: Games and riddles, tea brewing, using fresh flowers to make floral pouch, making green tea snacks, and tasting of tea leaf eggs. Lesson includes interaction with the instructor, and students will have the opportunity to experience a hands-on session.

 

书法课程介绍: Calligraphy Course

书法分为初级、中级、高级。教学方法灵活，多样，培养孩子观察力和专注力。汉字讲究笔顺，书法初级注重笔顺笔画的学习，以及用笔姿势。例如“火”，正确笔顺是先写两个点，再写人，如果笔顺不对，写出来的字就会不美。再比如：“里”，拆开是“日”和“土”， 先写“日”，再写“土”。中级是在掌握了笔顺笔画的基础上，开始学习字的间下结构，如何把写的更美; 高级是在中级的基础上，进一步学习汉字的笔法结构，字体变化。

The Calligraphy course is divided into three different levels for better learning: primary, intermediate and advanced. Teaching methods are flexible and diversed, students will be able to develop better concentration and observatory skills.

Writing the correct strokes play an important role in Chinese characters as they determine the overall neatness and outlook of the word. In the primary level, students will focus on learning the correct strokes for the Chinese characters as well as the correct way to hold the brush/pen. Students in the Intermediate level will build on their foundation on using the correct strokes to enhance their ability to create beautiful writings.  Students in the Advanced level will build up on their knowledge acquired in the intermediate level, learning more about how Chinese characters were constructed and how they had evolved from the past.

 

国画课程介绍: Chinese Painting

国画分为初级、中级、高级。培养孩子耐心和观察力。从简到难，每节课之间都有关联性，一步步引导孩子走向艺术殿堂。例如：第一节课学习草的画法，第二节学习树干的画法，第三节学习树叶的画法，第四节学习小鸟的画法，第五节就是一幅完整的图画。轻松愉快的完成复杂的作品。

The Chinese Painting course is divided into three different levels for better learning: primary, intermediate and advanced. It is through Chinese Painting that students develop patience and observatory skills. Students can look forward to be guided step by step to recreate their own masterpieces in a fun and fulfilling session.

 

象棋课程介绍: Chinese Chess

象棋分为初级、中级、高级

注重培养孩子思维逻辑能力，挖掘孩子的潜力，使他们建立自信心。人们把象棋称为“智慧的体操”，在游戏中能不知不觉地锻炼头脑，提高智慧。同时可以开发和增强儿童的记忆力、心算能力、筹划力、想象力和统一调度能力，而且最有利于数学、哲学、军事及计算机软件开发能力的早期培养。

例如，佳佳是一个二年级的学生，平时在生活中和考试中常常丢三落四，妈妈让她学习象棋，一开始，她下棋走得特别快，走棋太快就会欠思考，走一步算一步，经常不小心就会输掉。老师让她走棋慢下来，要求考虑5秒钟以上，想想对方意图、整理自己思路，这样慢慢的她的下棋速度就慢下来了，在老师的鼓励和教导下，她从输到赢，沉稳了许多。

The Chinese Chess lesson is divided into three different levels for better learning: primary, intermediate and advanced. Through the lessons, students will develop their thinking skills, build on their potential and confidence.

Chinese chess can also be known as the “brain exercise of the wise” as playing chess can improve a child’s memory, their ability to mental calculate and enhance their imagination.
